Getting invited to events is honestly not something I take up on very often but when Adelaide fashion festival came around..I figured that I really should put in an effort and go along to some shows. Its also something that honestly doesnt often fit into what i tend to write about (menswear) but for something a little different..here you all are! My coverage of the Bridal Runway show at AFF. I would personally like to take the time to thank Wade, Cassie Young of Foster Hill PR and all the people at AFF for extending me these invites :)
Why a bridal show…why not? I say!
Now…since this is a personal style blog and unfortunately since I’m behind the camera for all of these shots I didn’t have anyone to take outfit shots for me…so ill be posting them like this for these articles.
Here I wore:
Navy trace elements SKA Suit – Jack London – Size 44 (jacket) 28 (pants)
Black Tie – Second hand
White button down shirt – Asos.com – (Similar)
Grenson Sid long wing brogues – Asos.com – Size 8
White pocket square – free
Now…I’m not one to gush over bridal wear…but as a set and costume designer I was VERY impressed with both the show and the beautiful work on display! The models looked amazing and the Thebarton theatre was honestly the best choice to host this event. The choice of modern music really helped to add a very real and noticeable contrast to the traditional nature of the clothing.
Accompanying me was the ever lovely Jenelle Witty (link to her super awesome blog) who I snapped some pics of outside the theatre.
